1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Wheel of Inspiration (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our mobile app. Wheel of Inspiration is designed to help users discover quotes, save favorites, schedule reminders, use a home screen widget, and create quote-based images and videos for personal use and sharing.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect or process information in the following categories:

• App content and settings you create or choose. This can include favorites, selected quote categories, recent quotes, notification settings, theme choices, saved editor presets, export preferences, and premium entitlement state.
• Media you choose to use. If you choose a photo, image, video, or audio file from your device for editing or export, the App may access that file so the feature can work.
• Generated files. When you export quote images or videos, the App may create temporary files and, if you choose, save final files to your gallery or device storage.
• Third-party service data. If you use ads, in-app purchases, stock images, stock videos, or stock audio, third-party providers may receive technical information such as device data, app interaction data, IP address, search terms, or purchase-related information as needed to provide those services.

3. Information We Store Locally on Your Device

Much of the App’s functionality works by storing data locally on your device rather than on our own servers. This may include favorites, recent quote history, notification schedules, selected categories, saved editor presets, theme preferences, and certain premium access flags.

The App also includes a local quotes database packaged with the App to provide quote browsing and search features.

4. Permissions We Request

The App may request access to the following device features or permissions:

• Notifications: to schedule and display quote reminders.
• Internet access: to load ads, process in-app purchases, and retrieve stock media or audio from third-party providers.
• Photos, media, or storage: to let you choose background images or videos and to save exports to your device.
• Boot or restart handling (Android): so scheduled reminders can continue working after a device restart, where supported.
• Home screen widget support (Android): to display quotes and support widget actions such as refresh, share, or favorite.

5. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• provide quote browsing, search, favorites, and widget features;
• schedule and manage local reminders and notifications;
• let you create, preview, export, and share quote images and videos;
• load optional stock images, stock videos, and stock audio when you choose to use those features;
• show ads in the free version of the App;
• process premium purchases, subscriptions, unlocks, or rewards; and
• maintain app performance, reliability, and feature availability.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may rely on third-party services, SDKs, or platforms such as:

• Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads for app open, banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads.
• Google Play Billing and/or Apple in-app purchase systems for subscriptions, premium upgrades, and purchase restoration.
• Pexels for optional stock image and stock video search.
• Freesound for optional stock audio search and preview.
• Device sharing features when you choose to share exported text, images, or videos using apps installed on your device.

These third parties may collect and process information under their own privacy policies. We do not control how third-party providers handle data once it is sent to them.

7. Ads and Monetization

The free version of the App may display ads. Advertising providers may collect or infer information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, ad interaction events, and app usage data to provide, improve, measure, or personalize ads, subject to their own policies and your device or region settings.

The App may also offer premium features, subscriptions, one-time purchases, or reward-based unlocks. Payment transactions are handled by the relevant app store or billing provider, not directly by us.

8. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only in the following limited situations:

• with service providers or SDK partners needed to operate ads, billing, stock media, and audio features;
• when you intentionally share content using your device’s share features; or
• if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or security.

9. Data Retention

• Local app data: usually remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the App.
• Saved exports: remain in your gallery, files, or chosen storage location until you delete them.
• Temporary files and cached media: may remain for a limited time until removed by the App, the operating system, or you.
• Third-party provider data: is retained according to the privacy policies and retention practices of those providers.

10. Your Choices and Controls

You can usually control your information in the following ways:

• disable notifications in the App or through device settings;
• remove favorites, presets, or reminders from within the App;
• delete exported media from your gallery or file manager;
• clear app data or uninstall the App to remove most locally stored information; and
• manage permissions, ad preferences, purchase settings, and privacy controls through your device, Google, or Apple account settings where applicable.

11. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information handled by the App. However, no method of electronic storage, transmission, or device security is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children’s Privacy

Wheel of Inspiration is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us so we can review the issue.

13. International Users

If you use third-party services through the App, your information may be processed in countries other than your own, depending on where those providers operate.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
